For many Black Americans as well as Black people worldwide, Liberia is a place that is a world away that will occasionally remind us of its presence through a distant disconnected newspaper article or a propaganda laced news video that is engineered to twist our perceptions of the country so that we go along with the rape of its resources without ever challenging the oppressors that dominate the country for its own profit.
Even though most of the planet is connected in a manner that will allow the unrestricted communication and joining of every corner of the world to each other, most are distracted to the revolutionary potential and abilities to raise the consciousness through this direct dialogue of the masses.
When was the last time you really had to write a letter and lick a stamp?
The sad part of all of this is while we have the unlimited physical access to our Sisters and Brothers throughout the world at our fingertips, our minds are still distracted by the trivial unimportant foolishness that litters cyberspace and renders our great minds powerless.
But not everyone falls for the cerebral traps that arrests the potential for a worldwide connection as I must applaud my Liberian Brother Carlton Peters, a fearless man of moral standing who walks without fear and boldly shared with the world what is really transpiring in the African country of Liberia with the Ebola crisis, the raping of Liberia’s natural resources and why the profits from these resources literally never benefit the hard working people.
Mr. Peters also details Liberia’s imbalanced political power structure and how it is compromised with the facade of righteousness to the world but is rotten and corrupt from within. He speaks on those educated sellouts who speak a righteous word while the world watches but are only motivated for personal gain and how much they can extract monetarily for themselves under the cloak of leadership.
Listen in from the ground of Liberia’s capital city Monrovia as our Brother Carlton Peters gives us nothing short of the raw truth and we must support and applaud him for being a righteously bold as he is to share with us what the wickedly controlled mainstream media will never cover while the true story remains twisted as the people suffer!
To my Sisters and Brothers here on American soil, after hearing these direct words we all need to live our lives with more of a sense of urgency and see ourselves as citizens of the planet as opposed to simply American citizens. Black people are catching hell all over the planet and we are in a unique position to make more noise to strategically bring attention to these injustices through our unique God given abilities that the world hungers for.
We need to produce revolutionary music, conscious television programs and movies, pool our financial resources and build a worldwide power base that supersedes the artificial boundaries set by man to see ourselves as one people.
Until we make these types of power moves and stop waiting for the approval of our oppressors, we will never break free of that satanic grip of exploitation that not only exists in America, but in every country the world over!
Dialogue such as our conversation with Carlton is the first step to unshackling the chains and stronghold that our oppressors will never have the humanity to do himself.
