The Scurv’s share several thoughts upon waking up that they felt were important to discuss among ourselves. After attending a cultural event here in Orlando that impacted their psyche in a very profound manner, they couldn’t stress enough how important it is to for us – as Black people in this racist oppressive society – to invest in ourselves collectively and personally. Every other race of people do this without even having to verbalize it as it is an automatic action and a mandatory expectation. We find it so amusing that we who are collectively on the bottom rung of progress in this society are often scrutinized for verbalizing the support of Black Business as though it’s a sin or a crime.
