Bob Arum’s Desperate Measure! – Boxing Cartoon

Share

The sport of boxing is one of the greatest loves in my lifetime.

That being said it has been a great ride along with the random disappointments that are bound to happen. But like a once great relationship gone sour, it has begun to disappoint me more than the pleasures can justify.

What makes it so frustrating in the present day when compared to the good old days of the 1970′s is the fact that the business aspect has crushed the chances of fighter’s with different promoters from fighting each other.

One promoter with a stable of fighters will refuse to do business with another promoter who has rival fighters just as talented and the only people who stand to lose are the fighters and fans alike.

Fighters are stuck to fighting only those in their stable and the opportunities to truly build a legacy are stifled big time. And while all of the infighting between promoters are going on, the limited window of opportunity to have great fights for the fighters and fans are diminishing and history will be robbed.

Some of these promoters have the long term vendettas toward their rivals in the boxing world. This is a sketch that I did to poke fun at Top Rank Boxing Promoter Bob Arum’s Desperate Measures attempts to gain revenge on Floyd Mayweather by digging up inferior opponents to keep his ever diminishing stable alive by any means necessary!
