Mark Jenkins is the latest live in “boyfriend” in the news who is allegedly responsible for the death and possible sexual assault of his girlfriend Shamika Gonzalez 3 year old daughter Bella Edwards.
The first thing that came to my mind is that one really cannot tell what’s in a person’s heart when you allow them entry into your life and as an individual living with you in your home.
It’s crucial enough when you ponder the possibilities of disaster that can happen when it is only the two of you involved but it gets even more dangerous and volatile when you have young children under your care who will be affected by the actions of this new person added into the mix.
While I am not stating this to throw blame on anyone in this particular situation or anyone who may be in something similar, I will say that we have to be careful when dealing with anyone new in our lives because there are so many chameleons and shape shifters out here who only seem to desire to extract your hard earned resources for their own personal benefit.
That being said, the best advice that I could give anyone in this day of instant gratification is to take your time to get to know someone and slow down the dating process because that bit of precaution can go a long way in preventing a huge disaster that could have been avoided in hindsight!
Let us pray for the comfort of the family and close friends of Bella Edwards, as well as praying for extreme and total justice served to this demonic entity named Mark Jenkins.
