You can call me Mr. Redundant, for the years I’ve spent speaking about black people seem to lead nowhere, and I’m exhausted by it.
In life, I’ve come to the conclusion that, for the most part, it’s been one big waste of time. Despite my efforts to approach the issues from different angles, the focus remains the same.
I’ve brought countless guests onto The LanceScurv Show, now The LanceScurv Podcast, yet regardless of the name change, it continued to focus on a liberation and empowerment that has now become a joke to the world.
Why do I feel this way? It’s because while I’ll continue to motivate and inform those who look like me, I’ll do so incrementally. The world is vast, and many choose unity over hollow words, unlike those who resemble me, professing unity but lacking action.
Imagine Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Marcus Garvey returning to find black people designated as the planet’s buffoons, content in their regressed designation. It’s amazing how they have absolutely no shame. It’s almost like a high school student being proud about failing all of their classes and never graduating.
Dr. King lost his life to assassination, Garvey died penniless due to smear campaigns and governmental interference, and Malcolm X was also assassinated, leaving behind a beautiful family in great need.
Now, with social media binding revolutionary thought, true leaders are overshadowed by pseudo-prophets craving attention and profit. There’s no true “black community,” just temporary displays of outrage quickly fading. The cycle persists with no end in sight. While some are committed to leaving a lasting legacy, most resemble charlatans, seeking recognition without sacrifice.
Though my fire for life burns, my motivation to liberate those infected with Stockholm syndrome wanes. I’ll continue, but my timeline shortens. I envision a balanced life, unlike the struggles faced by Dr. King and Malcolm X.
Frauds will slander, dismiss, and plagiarize to maintain their facade. My urgency remains, though diminished, as I seek balance in semi-retirement.
I mourn our state but must cut my emotional losses, focusing on meaningful endeavors. I look forward to exploring a wider array of topics and motivating all to reach their potential.
Waiting for black people to rise is futile; I won’t invest in a lost cause. Despite our history, we’re brilliant. We wallow in low vibrations, neglecting our promise of greatness. For those committed to excellence, I’ll give my all. But for those content with mediocrity, I’ve moved on.
It’s easier now to create and enjoy without the distractions of the external narcissistic cravings of the pseudo prophets. I celebrate my stress-free productivity, knowing I’ll never waste another second on fruitless endeavors.
