Who Was The Greatest Fighter Who Ever Lived? – The LanceScurv Show

Any Debate About Who Is The Best Fighter Will Forever Rage On…….

Ever since man took his first step on the planet Earth, their have been wars, battles and individual disputes.

Having a difference of viewpoints has fueled these altercations as far back as recorded history can remember.

Opposing views have always been in existence, therefore setting the foundation for fighters to emerge from the shadows.

To see two individuals go to battle bedazzles most who witness the dispute and at some point someone figured out that this was something that could be exploited to manifest a great profit from because it seems as though everyone loves a great fight.

Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Fighter

Many men could talk a great fight and claim to be a great fighter but who could really back it up with action and step up to the plate?

Thus, the art of Prizefighting was born.

Professional Fighting from in its infancy captivated audiences because of the audacity of each opponent to believe in themselves and their ability to defend themselves in ways that most common men were insecure in and impotent to execute.

Jack Johnson, Fighter

There was always that fascination with a man -and now many women – who could enter a boxing ring in full view of a sizable audience to inflict their will on another combatant who has the same destructive intentions on them.

This is will continue on until someone is knocked out, quits or is decided by a panel of judges to be the winner because of the superior skills exhibited in full view of everyone in attendance.

One interesting aspect of prizefighting is that while the scoring is objective and decisions are arrive to by a set of preset rules, one judge can declare on fighter the winner while the others can favor the opponent by a wide margin and all will make a case for their tally.

So while absolutely every and any participant whether male or female can indulge themselves in this sport, it takes a certain skill set to weather the storms of the opponents that will attempt to render them unconscious and prove time and time again that they are the superior entity who deserves to be called the best in the division.

Rocky Marciano, Jersey Joe Walcott, Fighter

Boxing fans of all ages who have witnessed the best of their youthful era as well as the more modern contemporary fighters always have had their strong opinions on who might have been the best warrior in their respective divisions as well as who was the all time best pound for pound no matter the era of their dominance or the weight class from which they operated from.

Now until someone creates a time machine to enable the designated great fighters from the many different eras to meet in the squared circle, the debate will rage on as to who would have been proved victorious in the bouts that will never take place except in the hearts of the true hardcore boxing fans.

So while we can separate the elite from the tomato cans, it is truly a tough task indeed to prove conclusively who was a better fighter than the next when you factor the many individual components and challenges that your favorites were forced to endure that alter the playing field when comparing the so called apples to oranges.

Dick Tiger, Rubin Hurricane Carter, Fighter

Our goal tonight is to answer the age old question as to who is the one fighter who should be considered the greatest of all time when weighing out these unseen factors of their proven record, level of opponents, tough fights where they proved their testicular fortitude as well as what they had to deal with in life in general.

Many will proclaim that the fighters of yesteryear where the true modern gladiators of the sport while others will swear that the modern day fighter is bigger and stronger and will easily defeat those then glorious pioneers in a sport that has evolved from its basic barbaric period.

So the lines will be open for ALL to contribute to an open moderated discussion that is sure to get very intense indeed just in the same manner that our beloved classic matches have in the past.

Everyone will be allowed to have their say so be ready for a verbal debate that will separate the scholars from the rank novices in a topic that will surely go on to be debated for many many years to come!

This discussion to determine the all time greatest fighter promises to be a very intense affair indeed…….
