I Just Don’t Know Where I Am Sometime!

When I wake up to pee in the middle of the night, I don’t know WHERE I am sometime…. am I in New Orleans, Louisianna or Houston, Texas! My baby girl told me one day while I was braidin’ her hair that we should move to Iraq and live. I thought she was either losin’ her mind or I was pullin’ her hair too tight! So I said to her: “Baby why you wanna move over there?” She said: “Since that’s where the President is sendin’ all the money, we might live better over there since he said that he don’t have no money for the Katrina victims over here and we got no choice but to live on the street soon!”

You know my baby was right!

My son is over there fightin’ for this country in the Marines and might never come back home unless he’s in a casket, and we can’t even get no aid to live here in dignity amongst ourselves but my son will get all the help he need to die in war for some greedy crackers in Washington that don’t care nothin’ about his momma and sister!

But you watch when the time comes for the elections, these fake politicians come to all the black churches making promises, kissin’ black babies, shakin’ hands and taking pictures for the newspapers to make it seem like they love us so much….all they want is our vote….after they get elected you won’t ever see them again and it’s business as usual in the ‘hood…. and these sellout preachers allow them to do just that while they let those devils up in the same pulpits that we pray to God every Tuesday, Friday AND Sunday for some REAL help!

A very pissed off and angry Earline Shaniqua Cook-Taylor, 37, a home sick diabetic Hurricane Katrina survivor now barely making ends meet in a battered economy as she copes with her unplanned, unexpected move to  Houston, Texas.
