Jamie Foxx basically states that instead of Black actors and actresses boycotted the Oscars, they simply need to act better – #ActBetter – in order to place themselves in a better position to be nominated and possibly win for their talents.
Is he right about this or is he merely echoing the sentiments of those who pull the very influential powerful mind controlling strings of Hollyweird?
Is Jamie Foxx merely jumping through the very oppressive invisible hoops that his master require of him to do to lead other young enthusiastic hopefuls to slaughter?
I mention it in this light because one look at the very limited list of Black Oscar winners lets you know what type of image they support and desire to perpetuate to the world of us.
My question is would if a movie about Nat Turner were made, would that even be up for some type of nomination in Hollywood or would it even get the green light to be made in the first place?
…….just a thought! LOL!
