I woke up this morning to some very shocking news that I just couldn’t find any angle to justify.
I found out that the infamous Donald Sterling attended a service at the Praises of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles.
So what is so shocking about that?
Well the not only was the church that he attended was predominantly Black, but he showed up with a few bodyguards and the local channel 4 news by his side!
But what truly took my breath away was the discovery of what Zion Missionary’s Senior Pastor said that “He did not believe that Donald Sterling was racist!”
How do you spell D-A-M-A-G-E C-O-N-T-R-OL?
Of COURSE that Pastor is going to say something to that effect, he was probably paid off well by the Donald Sterling image control team so he could change the perception of him being a racist individual.
The Ku Klux Klan or maybe even George Zimmerman?
Let me tell you, I don’t waste any of my time worrying or wondering about how any White person who happens to be racist thinks about me in any shape, form or fashion.
But when you use your power of influence over me to alter the course of my life in a negative fashion, then you will have major problems indeed as I am not afraid to stand up and call a spade a spade unlike so many of these knee knocking terrified Negroes who simply have a bad case of Stockholm Syndrome and simply “want to all get along?”
That’s what I have a problem with, I have an issue with Donald Sterling and his wife neglecting the poor people in their below par rental units merely because they were Black.
I have a problem with a man who feels the way that he does toward the people who look like me and the possible damage that he could cause them simply because he has the money to inflict his twisted will on them and get away with it.
Yet, our good Pastor embraced this devil as though he couldn’t see that he was being used like a pawn in a game of chess.
But money will often times make one lose whatever little sense of integrity that they possessed.
One Praises of Zion member also went on to say that “He feels sorry for him because, first of all, he’s a slum landlord. And second of all, I don’t think he cares for people as he should.”
He feels sorry for him because he’s a slumlord? Well how about feeling sorry for the people who had to live in the nasty conditions that came from the gross neglect that Donald Sterling subjected them to?
I find it so amusing that here is a man who expressed that he did not want any Blacks to attend his games with girlfriend V. Stiviano yet had no problem profiting off of the Blacks who play for his team and even running to a Black Church to change his image in the most obvious way.
You see, most affluent Whites and Jews know that a very many Black people can be bought out easily. They also know that many Blacks – may I say most? – are cowards and don’t have the guts to stand up together or on their own to fight against something that is diametrically opposed to their very well being and existence.
They know that the whining of Black people can quickly be quelled with a fat check or donation to their whore-like organizations that will willingly bend over for them and take it in the rear with no lubrication whatsoever.
Where is the outcry?
Where is the spirit that we had as a people that seemed to begin to dissipate as early as the late sixties?
Maybe I’m simply imagining this but I remember a time when Black people wouldn’t go along with selling themselves out no matter how much money was waved in front of their faces.
We called our Pastors out if any of their moves were suspect and although we’ve never ever been a monolithic people, we still had the ability to rally around the issues as one because we knew that our oppressors didn’t care if we were from the Caribbean, the Motherland Afrika or from any other land that gave us a different path to the same oppression here in Amerikkka.
This is how they do us and they know that they could get away with it each and every time.
Look at how they paint themselves as heroes when you see these late night commercials featuring a Caucasian celebrity in Somali standing with hundreds of hungry Black children with flies landing on their faces to ask for money to help feed them.
But these same celebrities wouldn’t dare open their mouths to speak out on the rape of the precious resources of Africa by those same corporate entities who have helped to put our Motherland in that very same position of poverty. That was a statement made with wide brush stroke, but you get the point that I am trying to make.
Too many of us Black people are so forgiving of these demonic racists who use us and know how we operate with each other better than we do.
They know that we love them more than we love ourselves and will welcome them with open arms even after it is proven that they despise our guts and will feign affection for us when they seek to profit from or talents and abilities.
Is coonery alive and well in 2014?
You damn right it is and this is the reason why we will never get anywhere as a people because we play ourselves each and every time a dollar is waved in front of our faces.
I’m so interested to see where this is going and I’m grabbing my popcorn and remote to kick back in my Lazyboy just like the rest of us.
Peace & Righteous Love Always,
