You’re right about getting out of the house! Know what’s funny though? I’m
a big fan of it but somehow or another I’ve slipped into a state of
hibernation! WTF? HOW in the hell did I end up here? I used to go to
concerts, plays, all sorts of things. Now I’m hiding from the world.
Anyway, thank you for this discussion. I can’t relate to the relationship
aspect of it, as of yet, but it’s definitely something I will keep in mind.

+LanceScurv do me a favor please. Will you have someone on your show to
talk about relationships. You’ll probably say, “Hello”, isn’t that what
I’m doing already??” Well, yeah, but not of that nature. You see I’ve been
in church for most of my life and as of 8 years ago, use to attend the what
is called ‘Sanctified church”. And often, throughout the years, I’ve seen
where pastors have encouraged Christian women to ‘STAY’ single by telling
them jargon such as: “Don’t search for a man, Jesus is your husband.” and
“God don’t want you looking for a man. He’s a jealous God.” or try this
one on for size….”Wait on God to send you your Boaz” Now, everybody has
heard of THAT one!! Well, as a result, I’ve seen a lot of my church friends
remain single well into their 30’s and 40’s. They’re lonely, hurting,
bored, and even desperate. One of my friend girls actually married a
convict who’s in jail for life just to have someone in her life, b/c she
got tired of “waiting on her Boaz”. I’d like you to talk about how many
Christian women in these Sanctified churches stay single for sooo long
believing the crap from the pulpit about dating and love when instead they
could be out there dating and enjoying a long-lasting and beautiful
relationship. Thanks!
She’s so right! Me and two of my friend girls hook up twice a month and
bar-b-que. We talk, laugh, and enjoy each other’s company. I don’t have a
mate right now (at 40’s..Blah!!) However, I don’t limit myself to staying
in the house and being depressed about it. Although, I am a bona fide and
happy homebody. (smile). I like the way this lady talks.
