The Sound of Insecurity
We’ve all encountered them—the ones who dominate conversations, talk over everyone, and act as if their every word is gospel. They are the self-proclaimed intellectuals of the Black community, the ones who believe they are the smartest in any room. They speak the loudest, refuse to listen, and bulldoze over differing opinions with arrogance disguised as confidence.
What they fail to realize is that no one actually values their words. People tolerate them at best, avoid them at worst, and roll their eyes in silence as they rattle on. The tragic part? These individuals have no clue. Their so-called intelligence is nothing more than insecurity wrapped in ego, and deep down, they are afraid of being exposed for what they truly are—hollow vessels who love the sound of their own voice.
The Illusion of Knowledge
There’s a dangerous phenomenon at play here, one that psychologists call the Dunning-Kruger effect. It describes people who are too ignorant to realize how little they actually know. They speak with conviction, they argue with intensity, and they drown out opposing voices—not because they are correct, but because they are oblivious to their own incompetence.
Have you ever noticed that the people who have studied the most, lived the most, and understood the most are usually the quietest in the room? Real knowledge does not scream—it whispers. It does not impose—it invites discussion. But the loudmouths in our community have no time for reflection or learning. To them, being right is more important than being informed.
The Empty Leader
This is how false leaders are created—people who have mastered the art of talking but have nothing of true value to offer. Charisma without wisdom is a recipe for disaster, and yet, society rewards those who shout the loudest, not those who think the deepest. In the age of social media, algorithms prioritize those who confidently spread misinformation rather than those who humbly seek truth.
We see it in politics, activism, and community leadership—individuals who convince others of their brilliance simply by speaking with authority, even though their words are empty. They don’t lead with substance; they lead with arrogance. And as a result, they misguide others who mistake confidence for competence.
The Fear of Being Wrong
At the core of this behavior is fear. It is easier to pretend to know everything than to admit you still have much to learn. It is easier to dismiss new information than to wrestle with the discomfort of self-correction. The know-it-all refuses to say the three words that could change their life: “I don’t know.”
True intelligence requires the courage to doubt, to question, and to embrace the possibility of being wrong. But these individuals are not seeking truth—they are seeking validation. They fear being seen as weak, so they compensate with noise. They fear being exposed, so they attack others instead. They fear deep thinking, so they stick to surface-level rhetoric.
The Cost of Ignorance
What they do not realize is that silence is often more powerful than words. The wise do not need to dominate conversations—they observe, analyze, and only speak when necessary. They understand that intelligence is not about always having an answer but about asking the right questions.
So the next time you see someone speaking with unshakable confidence, pause. Ask yourself:
Are they genuinely knowledgeable, or just loud?
Are they open to learning, or only interested in winning arguments?
Do they seek understanding, or just the sound of their own voice?
If someone always has an answer, never admits fault, and refuses to listen, they are not wise—they are insecure. And the real tragedy? They will never realize it…
Thanks for reading everyone…
Sincerely,
You have many so called leaders who act like their revolutionary, especially those Egyptian hotep people. They preach one thing, but their behavior is something else. No different from the leaders in organized religion. Just preaching a good game, but you’re nothing but hypocrites and you’re just fleecing money from people. Talking about hating the white man and screw the white man, but sexing a Caucasian chick on the side. Man, they can get the hell out of here with that empty speech. Nothing but grifters.
