Whether or not R&B Singer R. Kelly is guilty of the decadence that he is accused of or simply man innocent of all allegations by gold diggers who want a “come up” to a life of luxury and fame, the fact of the matter is that these situations do exist and we are engaging in this discussion in order to see what can we do to avoid our daughters from falling victim to someone who has these twisted intentions on their innocence.
An innocence, that is once stolen and utilized in an improper manner, could never be restored because of the trauma that is guaranteed to manifest in due time.
While many will say that a conversation focusing on the destructive methods that R. Kelly allegedly utilizes to seduce starry eyed underage girls can only degrade into a negative non productive rant, I say that if we don’t speak about it and dialogue on ways to prevent these unfortunate acts from being committed, we are all doomed to see them happen again and again because of our denial.
