LanceScurv touches on the overwhelming sense of entitlement that he observes in our Black Youth over and above what was once considered to be the norm for a time during the rebellious phase of adolescence.
While most children and teens will reach that time in their life where they will attempt to test the adult waters by acting as if they’ve earned something that they have been given by their parents or caretakers, most will wake up out of it as they observe and learn what reality I really all about and fall into place.
But what is observed today I something much more intense and deadly and I have to wonder who is to blame for it?
Is it the parents for tolerating and even encouraging such an attitude?
Is it an ever increasingly permissive society that makes a bad attitude fair seeming?
Or maybe the very influential connection to the internet and all of the decadence that it brings to attack the innocence of those who should still be acting as children as opposed to acting like a grown behind person who moves about the earth as though THEY are paying the bills and keeping a roof over everyone else’s head in the family.
Am I thinking and speaking like a grumpy old man or is it that our Black Youth possess a sense of entitlement that’s OUT OF CONTROL?
