I found out the hard way what it’s like to be the victim of getting my Wells Fargo bank account hacked and will tell you first hand that it’s not a good feeling at all!
While most will embrace the advanced technology today as a Godsend because it makes one’s life that much easier, but we have to understand that while the technology itself is a great thing, the people that use it may not be all that pristine in their character. That being said, it is literally guaranteed that the more evil minded among us will scheme on usurping the hard earned finances of others from the twisted mastery of this technology.
What makes my situation slightly different than the usual “someone capitalized on my cyber carelessness” story, was that my T-mobile SIM Card was compromised to use it as an open portal into my phone to enter my Wells Fargo account as though the impostor was yours truly in order to move my funds around and then execute two wire transfers that were caught in the nick of time because I suspended my account therefore saving every red cent of my almost stolen money! TALK ABOUT TIMING!
Listen in to my more annoying than unfortunate situation that was a straight reality check when it came to how I like so many of us can get too complacent in our trust of this fraudulent thing called online cyber security! As long as the human element is allowed to play a major factor in our hi-tech dealings then expect theft to only grow as we advance into what will be touted as safer platforms.
