Patti Labelle once again knocks ’em dead at the 2010 BET Awards Ceremony in her tribute to the great Prince. It was one of those moments that brought tears to my eyes because it was like a loving meeting of family! The emotions, the facial expressions and the “soul” was undeniable to say the least!
I found myself wondering WHY aren’t our up and coming current crop of performers just not displaying the longevity in their craft as they once did decades before? Now, I feel there are many who are “doing it” now that will be around for as long as they are alive such as John Legend and Alicia Keys to mention a few off of the top of my head, but overall to summarize my general feeling about todays stars…….”They don’t make ’em like they used to!”
