Do we really understand what God’s Whole Armor really means?
Is God impressed with your shoes? Is He bedazzled by your suit? Does He consider you holier than thou because of your fancy hat?
Well why do we seem to place so much weight on something so frivolous if He sees our righteousness as filthy rags?
If we are truly putting God first in our lives then why is it that our mode of worship is influenced greatly by what we put on our backsides?
Should it matter? And if it does matter so much to whom is it that it matters to?
You see, there’s a huge difference between being religious as opposed to walking in the spirit. So many of us claim to desire to want to walk in the spirit more than we are in the present but pursue an indulgence into the carnal and suffer the results with a dimmed spiritual view.
So are many of us like that dog chasing its tail?
Of COURSE we are! If all of the primping, fried, dyed and laying to the side, pedicures, manicures, trimmed eyebrows, expensive panties and pumps, push up bras, tight skirts with high splits brought us any closer to the Lord then the world would really be a wonderful place!
But the fact of the matter is that we have become too damn “churchified” and a mere facsimile of what our God truly wants us to be as the world is fast becoming the hell that we claim that we want to avoid, and I invite all within earshot to join in on this discussion to see where we are going wrong!
