As the Social Creatures we were created to be, it’s in our D.N.A. as human beings to yearn for the companionship and love that can only come from our close proximity to others.
But it becomes a very challenging task to receive this love if we’ve accumulated the toxic emotional baggage in our hearts that arrived as a result of the pain, heartache and disappointment of the failed relationships that most of us have experienced in different junction points of our life.
So when you observe an individual proclaim that they never want to be in another committed relationship ever again in this life, it is my theory that they are simply stating this in a reactionary manner due to their prior painful emotional experiences with others while that same need for love lurk below to haunt them at every twist and turn of their life.
Trapped under their own toxic wounds of disappointment much like that ice skater who fell into the frozen lake because of the thin patch of ice that gave way. They desperately attempt to find the hole that fell into but eventually drown like that person who dies of loneliness who all the while denied their need for companionship. How sad.
It makes me wonder how many are simply existing in this manner and never truly living? We just may never know…….
